The Road Asset Management System has a lot of potential in developing countries because it not only helps to assess assets, but also to protect them by taking appropriate action at the correct moment. National, state, and municipal governments in Pakistan, in particular, confront a significant problem in maintaining the functionality of existing transportation assets while simultaneously funding network expansions to meet expanding demand. While transportation officials spend a lot of time and money building new highways, transit stations, airports, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities, some estimates suggest that the country will spend more money in the coming decades preserving and improving existing infrastructure than building new ones. Asset management is a proactive and methodical strategy to ensuring that physical assets are properly maintained, upgraded, and operated through the course of their useful lifetimes. It focuses on resource allocation and utilisation business and technological strategies, with the goal of improving decision-making through the use of high-quality data and well-defined objectives. The traffic Signs Inventory Database is extremely useful for traffic sign maintenance and administration on the road. The effective inventory system will aid in safe driving, and the existing inventories will assist the responsible authorities in efficiently managing the signs. The information on traffic signs for a road section between Babu Sabu junction to Kareem block was collected using GIS software. The primary goal of GIS software is to collect data on the number of signs, their position, type, and current state. This information will assist transportation organization in tracking and monitoring indicators on a regular basis.
