Heat exchangers are essential for removing heat from heated surfaces. In this regard rectangular fins with various shape being extensively used in engineering applications due to their effectiveness and straightforward design. By optimizing surface radiation and convection, these fins are designed to increase the efficiency of heat transfer from the primary heated surface. Therefore, this study examines the heat transfer and thermal efficiency through convective-radiative four different types of porous fin. Lorentz force is considered to assess four distinct longitudinal fins with thin-tip-exponential, trapezoidal, thick-tip-exponential and rectangular configurations. Variable surface emissivity is discussed in the presence of conduction, convection, and heat radiation transfer. Numerical solutions for modeled equations are often obtained using the ND-Solve technique after they have been transformed into dimensionless ODEs. The results show that convection and radiation have a major impact on the fins' thermal performance. Greater convective parameters lead to lower fin temperature whereas an increase in radiation parameters enhances the heat dissipation. Furthermore, the effect of magnetic fields on heat transfer efficiency shows that stronger magnetic field diminishes the temperature gradients. Overall analysis reflects that an exponential fin exhibits the best efficiency and temperature distribution compared with other ones.
